Hello, I'm looking for a load for 45 ACP using 220gr. LRN and using Unique. Both bullets and Powder I have. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ken
you can use the loads for 230- safely- do you have the load tables for unique-there's not enough velocity in the 45 acp case to cause any problems= the 220 is a real oddball weight- are u sure it's not a 230 or maybe a 200?
What make of bullet is it? What diameter is it? If it is .451 or .452 it would work in a 45 ACP. If it is larger .453 to .458 it is for another caliber.
Go here and see what loads are close. http://stevespages.com/451p_1_225.html
Thanks for all the replies. It's an old box of lead bullets marked .45 acp round nose 220gr. Grand Master Bullets LTD Brentwood Bay BC. I measured them at .452. I will pick up a copy of "MODERN RELOADING SECOND EDITION RICHARD LEE ". I thought 220 gr. seemed odd and couldn't find any data for Unique Powder. I diffidently always start out low but never really like to guess. Thanks again Ken
