I bought an identical case like this at P&D and when I got it home I found out that it's Chinese ammo made in 1967 at state factory 61....grrrr.I called them and was told.. Thanks for the call...blaa blaa blaa...we'll look into it.. blaa blaa blaa.
Wanstalls sells the exact same Sellior & Bellot ammo but atleast they tell you that it is Chinese militart contract ammo.

My Mosins shoot it ok but I have two finicky SVT 40's that hate Chinese but love the 147gr Russian..
Got my 880 rds that were on sale over Xmas from Marstar, Will be my last purchase from them. The crate must have been exposed to moisture recently and the exterior of the first can seems to be exteriorly corroded (white build up observed) when pulling up the edge of the weakened wood... After a night in front of the dehumidifier it seems to be under control. This will definately be the first case I open in the spring and I hope the Ammo is ok inside.

That's good stuff! Chinese. At least it is in my Mosins. I wish I had bought more but refuse to deal with Marstar. I still have a can of it but have shot over 3 cans of it with the white corrosion on the outside. The ammo is perfectly fine inside.

Check the Canadian Tire in Rocky Mountain House. They had a ton of it in a few months back and I picked up 3 crates of it for $200 a crate. They may still have some in stock.

Now that you mention it, I may be wrong. I think it may have been $300 a crate. Anyways, it was the cheapest I had seen it anywhere, in person and online.

I was going to suggest just ordering the mosin+ammo combo from tradeex as it was like $480 or something but I just checked and it's gone. Last time I ran low on 54r I kept looking at prices and the cheapest I saw was $300 for a crate, while tradeex was offering the mosin+880rnds for $449 so I just opted to spend an extra 150 for the combo.
