Cant Find My Damn Deer!!!

Yes you are correct I will put my next post in paragraph form.I did call it a him what is a he is that a buck??I assumed all the hunters that told the shooter were he had hit the deer were using a telepathic thoughts to communicate with the deer and could tell were it was wounded.I assumed they would already know it was a she.I have made contact and found out it was a antler less male laying in a ditch 500 yrs south of the stand. It communicated with me that it was indeed hit in the shoulder but was unsure why he was in the water.I have not had any communication as of late,he said he was tired and wanted to sleep.#### forgot the paragraph thing, next time I promise.

Newbies,new bees, help needed.

While it's not polite to pick on someone for spelling and grammatical errors, and I have to admit I make my share, it's worth it to at least try. I emboldened only some of the corrections made above.
You have to agree that the above is more readable.
Lets get back on topic please.
Has the deer, or the bolt been found yet?

I think it was a zombie ninja deer.

It probably snatched the bolt(oops almost wrote arrow. corrected myself as not to offend any of the uber-hunters((oops again, almost wrote nazis))) in mid air going 350 fps and just faked getting hit to #### with Cdnhunter's mind.

Johnny doing the best I can as stated above.I did not move it off topic it was the perfectionist with perfect spelling and grammar.I am adding something new to each post now.Spell cheak pleas???

^^^^I am hardly a perfectionist.....but when you write a 200 word sentence without a space/paragraph break, it A: Gives people a headache, and B: Retracts from your credibilty. That was posted as advice, not a slam.

But hey...if you wan't people thinking "Hell, the guy can't even manage basic sentence structure yet we are supposed to take his advice seriously?", by all means: continue posting at a grade 6 level.

Ok, enough already.

I do not only mean the constant bickering about grammar, spelling and syntax. In fact, enough about the dear as well (oops, I mean deer:p) since that deer is either alive and well, or dead and rotting.

So, in a nutshell, you two stop with the bickering and canadian hunter312, just go out and shoot another deer, please dear.;)

Enjoy the hunting season boys, it is going by way to fast.

Regards
Robert

1899 thanks for the point out to me It looked ok.speller checking pleasee

If you use the newer versions of FireFox, it spell checks as you type. It highlights in red any spelling errores:D All you have to do, is right click on the red text, and it gives you a number of options, for the correct spelling, or the word you are trying to type. Unfortunately, it does not correct grammatical errors, or words that are correctly spelled, just not the right word for the sentence you are trying to create.

Hope this helps:D

I dont know how crowca took over this thread. You'd think he lost a deer at best, or his mind at worst?.

It was canadian hunter 312 who originally lost his deer.
And we are all just trying to help the guy out(ch312) with our experience.

We can help other hunters out, with words only cause theres usually too much distance between us.
If he were here, near by, and friendly,I would help out!.:)

Insults again? Why?Things went south when I stated that I have found gut shot deer laying in the water bloated and dead.I believe they misunderstood the time frame in which I was referencing between the shot and finding them in the water.

Everyone and there brother was telling the hunter were he had hit the deer.None were there with him,so they really could not tell.

I was all wet and my statement was thought to be false.

I have no experience in these things.Since no one has asked about my experience how would they know?

I was then attacked by a key board specialist because I have a few problems with spelling and grammar.

Got some help from some good people on the site.

And hear we are back to the personal attacks.

I had suggested he look for his deer around water if it was perhaps gut shot.Just trying to help him out.Since You feel I have hijacked this thread my apologies. If indeed the poster was trying to help me and not attack me I am making a apology to him right now.spell cheekee pleees

Well, I went back and re-read my posts, and do not think I was chucking kaka at anybody, just stating personal observations from quite a bit of whitetail deer hunting............

And in fact just got home this afternoon from a week away goose and deer hunting. My clothes were all filthy and I smelled pretty bad too.

And GUESS WHAT HAPPENED!

One of my buddies shot a very nice buck, watched him run for well over a hundred yards, but could not find blood (it was getting dark) so he radioed the rest of us, who arrived at his stand with about ten minutes of legal light left. Just before we lost light we found a VERY good blood trail. Back out of the woods, cased up the guns and took off some clothing, grabbed the lights and in we went to get the deer, figuring it would be within the first ten or twenty yards.

LONG story short, it was not down in a short distance and we eventually lost the blood trail entirely after about an hour and a half. Back out the next morning, went to my last piece of flagging tape, nothing, nada, zero. BUT our host has an old lab who has found deer in the past, and we sent a tractor and wagon for Emma the Wonder Dog. Emma is ancient, has arthritis everywhere, tumours hanging off her by the dozens, but has a heart as big as all outdoors. Emma was shown the blood trail and within two minutes was on the buck, who had gone about sixty yards past the last spot of blood, and we had not seen him when we were ranging out from the spoor. Now here's the kicker:

HE DIED IN A CREEK :dancingbanana:

First time I have seen this, and of course I discussed it with the other members of the gang, in terms of this thread. All of us had heard the theory that gut shot deer go to water, and the one lad said that he had found deer in water, but in his view the deer did not know it was going to die there, he just happened to be in water when he expired.

So anyways, this time that's where he died, and IF we had tracked down the creek we would have found him that night. So there! ;)

BTW he was hit on quite a steep angle with a 12 gauge shotgun slug, which cut six ribs before careening into the liver and one lung, and we recovered the slug inside the hide on the far side. He was not gut shot, and even though his guts stunk to high heaven, the meat was fine. In fact, VERY fine, as we had a meal of loin steaks on Wednesday and a venison stew last night. :D
