Is the .45ACP on the list of calibers which negate antique status?
"Talked to the RCMP"? To whom in the RCMP did this nameless person talk? Someone who actually knew something? Or the first person who answered the phone at the CFP?
The important question is why would anyone bubbify an antique .455 revolver, permanently altering it and destroying its originality?
legal but not smart
people miss that the use of jacketed bullets and non 455 loads can be problematic

I can remember when the Webleys were $12.95. Facing the cylinders on a lathe so that they could accept .45ACP was a common procedure. .45 Auto Rim was generally available then, and was probably a lot safer to use in a converted Mk. I or II revolver.
Nowadays, we know that this is a stupid, unnecessary bubba modification.
Fiocchi has new .455 cartridges available.
