Can't get bore clean

I have been using Butch's Bore Shine for some time, and really like it. Wipeout is fine for an overnight soak, but is not too effective on the short term. I will try the Gunzilla, just for S & G. Regards, Eagleye.

I am using Outer's foul out system. It is easy and get the job done without any scrubbing. Finish with a patch or two of your favorite cleaner and this is it. That beat having a chemical mix of products to use to do the job. It is also limiting the number of time you have to brush and limit damage to the bore. This is the BEST way to remove all copper in a barrel.

Too lazy to read the entire argument but if no one said it, Hoppes #9 EATS copper bore brushes. thus every time you push it through, it fouls again. Use synthetic brushes (same price) and wipe-out brand cleaner.

Too lazy to read the entire argument but if no one said it, Hoppes #9 EATS copper bore brushes. If it removes copper fouling it's obviously gonna eat the brush. Thus every time you push it through, it fouls again. Use synthetic brushes (same price) and wipe-out brand cleaner. I like the accelerant with the foam.

After shooting my rifle I use Wipeout, and patch it clean the next day. That's it. I noticed after a few treatments with wipeout, the bore doesn't foul as much after a shooting session

Fouling is layers of metal fouling and podwer fouling. Wipeot should work after a shooting session if the barrel was clean before shootong.

When cleaning a newly purchased used rifle, I scrub it with alternate applciations of Rem Clean (a mild abrasive) and a metal cleaner like Sweets 7.62 or Wipeout or Hoppes Copper Cutter. In a bad rifle, it takes alternate applciations, each day, for a few days to get it all out.

While the gunk is in the barrel, i store the rifle muzzle down, so crap does not flow back in to the action, trigger and bedding.

Boresnakes????? Ha! Funny they weren't on the sponsor list at the Supershoot.... Can't imagine why since brushes and patches are "obsolete" now. Give your head a shake. Not one serious competitive shooter I have ever met has ever even given a boresnake a second look. Now Wipeout is a gimmick I can get down with. It works.
