I GOT IT OFF!! Thank you all so much. Namely Skullboy's sticky and GG&FB's post. I would have never know where to drill.
Can I re-use the FH even though it's been drilled? I'm not one for aesthetics. If it works safely I'll shoot with it.
There was no tearing that I can see with a magnifying glass.

I was told a member had good kits for a fair price, goes by mysticplayer. He was all out when I PM'd him and so I couldn't wait and ordered a set from Smith Enterprises (along with their m14 mount
)
15 USD for the shim kit. God only knows what it'll come to with duty and all that ####e.
