cant stop a heavy scope from sliding in it's rings-help?

QUOTE=cantom;7958810]Where do you buy it?[/QUOTE]

Lordco, Napa, Canadian Tire.
Most auto parts stores should carry it.
Should come in spray and brush cans.

Can you change the scope mounting so that it's installed at the max forward limit? Good recoil can knock a scope forward, but not so much if it's already against the stop...

Not sure what the concern is about the existing Burris "Signature" rings ... has anyone heard of the caps shearing or the weaver style bases letting go under recoil?

the gasket glue is a good idea (does it mar the scope tube finish?) I have used rubber cement in the past and it works ok up to 375 H&H in a light rifle/moderately heavy scope fwiw and comes off pretty easy if necessary. Have tried various tapes (black electrical etc) and it can slip
