Cantilever ghost ring

Does anyone make a ghost ring sight that mounts on a cantilever mount off the barrel? I'd like to avoid drilling my receiver and also changing the POI everytime I swap barrels (often). I supposed I could probably adapt something from a another weapon that has pictinny rails.

The working principle for a ghost ring sight or any peep sight is the closer to the eye, the better.
But I guess a ghost ring would fill the bill in a pinch; being an enlarged peep sight, it would probably stay usable even at some distance from the eye.
Maybe it would lose some of its quickness to aim, but, again, I'm not sure about that.
Someone should make a prototype and try it; maybe there's something interesting here...

Methinks the long rails/AR stock adaptor that BBB sells with Picatinny mounted AR sights/ring would work.
