Anyone throw in their 2 cents would be great.

I'm looking at getting one....when they get back in stock.

I like the non extended safety and commander hammer.

Someone mentioned here why bother when for $800 and tax , you can get a good to excellent BHP.

True...but I'm more interested with the above mentioned details without buying mods.

I don't own one, but I did handle one. Outside of the stupid branding billboard, the gun is a fantastic example of P35. Only issue for me is that I'd have to ditch the branding and refinish which brings me well past an old Browning.

Yeah, I'd have to take a file to the side of the slide. With that butt ugly logo on the side I wouldn't consider paying more than about $400 for the gun cuz it's gonna cost a lot to refinish it.

Your mileage may vary.

I hear you guys.

I too agree that the branding is rather loud.

In fact, the font used really resembles the Vancouver Canucks.

But in all fairness, if I was an owner manufacturering quality firearms, I would have a strong sense of pride having my company name on a firearm.

I would certainly hope consumer's feedbacks get back to the company regarding their logo.

A great example of discreet labeling on a fabulous quality low cost brand is SAM 1911's

Then it should say "TURKEY" on it and not "CANUCK" in big bold letters lol.
CANUCK doesn't make anything.
I'd be into them too if they were not so loud with the logo. I'll just live with my FEG's I guess which were $200-$250 NOS from Questar a few years back.

Wonder if there's any chance future imports could get toned down.

Anyone know if parts, grips and mags are interchangeable with a Browning?

Yes...heard the same thing.

I wonder....wouldn't it cut their costs down with a toned down logo and no installation of the mag disconnect?

I mean, these guys can submit a design to Turkey and have them manufacture anyway they choose.

Certainly what I would do.

I have been waiting for 2 months for O'Dell to send me a replacement barrel. They didn't bring in any spare barrels in their earlier shipments apparently.

Other than that, the finish on the pistol is good. As good as the CZ, Grandpower and Walther pistols I have. Definitely much better than a Norinco 1911 I also have.

Accuracy-wise, my friend also got one and I shot his (since I couldn't shoot mine), group size is similar to what you can expect from a modern pistol. We shot standing from 10-25m and it's no better or worse than a SP-01 or PPQ. Trigger is fine (as it should be, since it's SA-only).

Bonus is you can easily get mec-gar mags from brownells and they don't cost an arm like HK or Walther...

I would wait for a 15% sale so it's $650 instead of $740.

I own one. Have only put 250 rounds through it so far. I'm really not too concerned what the outside looks like. It goes bang every time I pull the trigger, and if I do my part all the holes are in the black, and to me that's all that's all that counts. I like the way it fits my hand, the weight and balance is excellent. If we could carry, this would be my choice out of the handguns I own. Just my 2 cents.

Nice...

BTW.....as shown in this example photo, does your ring hammer go as far back?

I'm worried about hammer bite.

It does, but there is still about 1/4 inch or more between it and my hand. I have been shooting for about 60 years, and this one is my favourite. Some complain about the cosmetics, but how it shoots is what matters to me.

Would be sweet to have these available without the billboard and the mag disconnect. Feels wrong to not have something as historical as a HP in the safe.
