I used to back in the 70's ... :D

Some of those WW1 "CEF" badges could be worth a nice piece of change...

I'm currently looking to a 16th Battalion to go with my 1916 Ross marked to the Toronto Scottish.

I collect WW2 Canadian cap badges, though not as seriously as I used to. Generally the common ones go for $10 - $15, all the way up to a probably several hundred for a 1st Canadian Armored Carrier Regiment badge.

WW1 badges I can't speak to but general go higher.

If you're interested in selling a few, I'm kind of off buying collectors stuff for awhile but I'd give a fair price on the more common ones I can fill holes with.

Cap badge info

Charlton International Inc.
2010 Younge Street
Toronto, Ontario
M4S-1Z9

Also known as "The Charlton Press". Google the name, and you should find all kinds of books that they publish.

Charlton publishes books on different subjects with values. For example, Coins.

They also publish ones on Cap Badges and stuff.

I have an old one that I refer to quite a bit. It is

"The Charlton Price Guide to First World War Canadian Infantry Badges"

Check out you local library, and if they are on an inter-library loan system, they can find books on the subject at other libraries that they can get for you to read.

One thing. A COMPLETE Collection is worth a lot more than selling off a few badges at a time.

16th Bn was the Canadian Scottish Regiment. I believe you are looking for a 75th Bn.

A 16th Bn capbadge would be a cool item...I served with them years ago (C Scot R not the 16th...lol). I have seen them around...than rifle would be a cool item as well.
Ever think of selling it fire me a PM. I have a few SMLEs but that Ross would be awesome with those markings. I know one guy in particular that would sell his wife for it...lol.

I have a few Soviet ones and a few Imperial Russian cap badges. Also just bought a Latvian cap badge dug up from WWI positions on the Eastern Front

I would like to find an old Canadian Signal Corps badge someday.

I collect cap badges too but now I concentrate on British Columbia reg't and battalions. Charlton press has lots of info. I'm now starting to collect TR naval badges and campaign shields at 10 times the cost of the other badges, but buyer beware as there are far more fakes out there than real ones(avoid ebay)

Suggest you get the latest Charlton guide and confirm prices on eBay. Some of those badges are worth hundreds, even thousands.
