Just wondering if you folks use flip ups caps on your high end rifle scopes? I have a few high end scopes with nothing on them and wonder is this just dumb? Half the time in they spend in the cell on the trip to the range I feel there safe with the caps they come with but question is do you have flip ups on you high end rifles?

I use flip up, but less and less, I’m transitioning to neoprene covers or leather cover I make my self! I like the neoprene cause they give more protectionnisme to the scope!

I vote for the Neoprene stretchy covers. I've got some flippers on the cheaper scopes, but I'm careful and mostly just at the range anyway.

Flip ups. I use the Leupold Alumina ones on my freedom scopes. All aluminum, with both a magnetic and push to unlock button. They are on a spring as well and they pop up rather nicely. They aren't cheap but they sure are a hell of a lot better then the plastic ones people use.

I only have one rifle with a decent scope and I put flip ups on it as its no handy to flip them up haha. plus it feels bad ass...... :p but if I started carrying it in the bush more id be tempted to put the neoprene cover on so it provided some "bump protection" to the body...

I’ve tried most of them and the old alumina caps are my favourite. I had some tenebraex once and they’re nice too but a little noisy for hunting. The alumina caps are not made the same as they used to be unfortunately. The new ones have a white printed logo instead of the gold logo and the quality is pretty rough. The old ones with the gold logos are awesome though. Worth the money

I guess it kind of depends on what you are doing with you rifle and what kind of elements as well as how long you are exposing it...

Flip up, with a cheat-sheet

That's a great idea, better than those 'music charts' that stick onto the side of the receiver. Looks sooo goofy. I keep dope charts on my phone but the scope cover looks good. But I have stretchies on several of my rifles . . . more shopping to do
