Car Safe at Canadian Tire on sale

I do NOT want to start another thread about what is legal storage and what isn't. I just thought I would point out that the car safes at Canadian Tire are 30% off this weekend. They've got one that's 16"x14"x8" for $49 and a smaller one that's 6"x9"x2.5" for $18. One of those bolted to a wall might make for decent handgun storage.

I went and looked at these safes, and the small one is useless, but the larger one would make a good 2 pistol safe. It also has mounting holes in the top of it so it could be mounted under a bed frame. A much better location for keeping a defensive weapon than a gunsafe in a closet or far off corner of your house.

But at 8" thick you might need 2 x4 blocks under the legs!

I like those smaller safe than normal gun safe, you can just bolt one into a corner which is not so draw attention and have you gun inside.
