I'm really liking the look of the carbine conversion kits that seem to be floating around.

Unfortunately for me, most of the ones around right now seem to be for Glocks and milspec 1911s, and I have a Springfield XD45.

Apparently EMA Tactical is coming out with the RONI-SP1 soon, a kit for Springfield XD. Does anyone know if HERA have any plans to do something similar, when such things might be available, and who in our part of the world would have them for sale at a reasonable rate (dealers, I'm looking at you)?

Also, any reports on whether these things are actually, you know, any good at all?

Thanks.

PM Blaxsun or he will be on here shortly:)
He deals with all the Hera stuff.

;) There's apparently a Gen3 for the GCC in development, but I couldn't speculate on whether this will offer compatibility for models other than Glocks.

The CPE is compatible with all mil-spec 1911's, which would include Norincos (it does exclude any 'commander' or double-stack models, though).

Looks like the RONI may be the way to go for my XD then. Here's hoping that a Canadian dealer starts stocking them soon after they're released :)

RONI SP1 is available from CAA Tactical. They directed me to EMA Tactical for Canadian orders. According to EMA's web site, the SP1 is still "coming soon...in 30 days". TSE & Questar has the RONI G1 in stock. Spoke to TSE just now and they have a few ordered but not shipped.
