I am really curious as to how others have set up their carbines. I had a surefire 6px tactical light mounted via a no name mount to my AR on the right side. I then ran a pressure switch to the left side for easy access. I have since removed it. I will put it back on and post a picture. What setup do other use?

Pic to come

I'm currently running a surefire mini scout in an offset mount. Right now I have it set up for thumb activation but I was thinking of upgrading to a pressure switch with the constant on option.
I'm really liking this setup, it's small, lightweight and throws a lot of light. For my 7" build I'll probably do a similar setup or run the new x300 ultra. Cheers!

I don't shoot at night so don't see the point of weighing down my rifle with useless crap.
Just get a nightvision scope if you do a lot of night shooting at your range. :D

clamped rail on the FSP (x300 ultra)

A light is far cheaper than a nightvision scope.....

I'm running a Surefire G2X pro in a Gear Sector off set mount.

I'm liking this set up. You'd think it's difficult to manipulate in this position, but its actually quite easy and comfortable to use with my weak hand. I was going to get a pressure pad, but after using it I found it wont be needed.
And no, I never shoot after sundown. However, if I'm ever forced into a situation where I might have to use my firearm at night, I need that light to be there. If you catch my drift.

I went with a Surefire M300a scout light with pressure switch , love this light and this set up works awesome for me. Inforce is another great option but it's really hard to go wrong with a Surefire. This is an older photo though , I've swapped out the P.R.O. , this rifle this now rocking a 2moa Aimpoint T1 on a Daniel Defence mount.

I shoot at my range every weeks during evening. In the summer it's not that bad, but during winter it's another story and we really need lights.

That's why I bring 1500 lumens of surefire light :)
