Carbine in handgun caliber ????

Are carbine in handgun caliber acceptable in a 3 or 4 gun shoot.

Depends on the match rules/divisions...
I've shot 3-gun where pistol cal. carbines were permitted... They were scored as pistols hit-wise... i could explain, but I don't wanna type more.
I've also been to events that were PCC only...
So really... ask the MD what's what for their match
