Carbon 15?

Saw what I thought was a polymer framed AR15 at a gun shop in Rapid City.

Not that I want one, but I am intrigued. It was very, very light. The tag read Carbon-15 and I found this Wiki page:

Anybody played with one or has some history on it?

I played with an early. They reportedly had problems but we put a few thousand thru it without any problems. The was before they had the standard stocks and such. Very light, I kinda like the new 9mm ones.

Bushmaster bought them out and now they are producing them under the Bushmaster name.

They are nice set-ups I prefer the M203 handguard and a proper CAR stock. In the US the SBR rules require that they remain in handgun format with the exposed buffer tube...

something about a 9mm mag in an AR15 magwell sits odd with me ...

I also like the 5.56 version now that we have 10 rnd mags here ...

Im sure that Questar can bring one in for you. They are very legal up here
they are a winner with the 10 round mag capacity!
