Carcano 1891 interchange W/ 91/41

Nope! Different beasts. Some US parts houses don't make the distinction and it can be a PITA getting correct profile wood. WWII M91 "long rifle" and M91/41 hanguards are beech and look very similar at first glance. The "newer" m91 replacment handguard has a higher "hump" than WW1-era beech and had to be fitted by an armourer which is why many are seen with hairline cracks.
