Does anyone have one? Are they single shot only or will they work with the en bloc clips as a repeater? If anyone has one, how much did it cost you to rebarrel, and could you use a SMLE / #4 barrel to rebarrel/rechamber with?

A Lee Enfield barrel can be machined to fit the Cooey-Carcano breech sleeve, and installed the same way that the 6.5 barrel was. Enough of the Lee Enfield breech must be cut off to allow the reamer to clean up the chamber. A 7.62x39 chamber is very close to the front portion of a .303 chamber, so not much reaming is necessary.
The 7.62 rounds will fit the Carcano charger - the heads are essentially the same size. I understand that they will feed, although I have not tried it myself.
Steel cased rounds don't extract as easily as brass. Primary extraction may need a bump on the bolt handle.
