Carcano identification and value

I have a Carcano that I got and am wondering if I can get some help identifying it?
It's chambered in 6.5 Carcano.
It's pretty well clean of markings, except the XB8883 marking on the barrel.
Also hoping to get a value range.

I did some looking, and it looks like the Cavalry version, just not sure if it's a 1938 or 1891 version and I don't know how to tell the difference.

1938 variant due to fixed rear sight. Bolt is from a rifle too and is not correct as well.

I was wondering about the straight bolt handle, as when I was looking I saw most the other cavalry versions had the bent bolt handle.

I concur with the sanding. Looks like it's been sanded (especially near the butt plate). Wrong bolt. I think this drops your value down to the 175 - 200 range.

Yeah, about $150 to $225 because as mentioned it has very little collector value as it has a heavily sanded and refinished stock and a mismatched bolt. A very good to excellent bore would put it into the higher range.

Depends on how old they are and if they are military or factory sporting ammo.
