Nice shot Nessy...now get a video of a split the ball shot, I never seen one before....too much smoke in front my face. My best trick shot to date was last week, I shot a marble hanging from a string at 25 yards and called the shot before making it. Beauty of it was a non BP shooter just happened to stroll up just as I called and made the shot. He has a new appreciation for the accuracy of a flinter and my skill of course. I could not duplicate the shot for the rest of the day but he doesn't know that.
Here's a picture from a few years back of the paper from a ball split that I did with my Robinson. The top shot is from my ma' (she just missed ) the other two tears are from me.
The reason that we use paper is that it is quite common to split a ball and miss the pidgeon. It can be quite critical where the clay pidgeons are placed.
I'm planning for some kind of novelty shoot at our year end rondie. We are thinking a "fruit shoot" elimination shoot. Draw cards for the order of shooting and which fruit you get to shoot at, then have various sized fruits eg, melons, grapefruit, orange, apple, lemons. Get lucky on your card draw and you get an easy target, unlucky and you are shooting lemons or maybe cherries
