Hey guys,

My father is doing some reloading (blackpowder) for an old 12 guage side by side. He'd like to find someof the old cardboard shotgun shells for the reloading, but someone on the board here told me that Federal currently makes some competition shells with paper hulls. I was wondering if any trap guys here use them and keep their empties / or could save their empties for me to buy for my father to reload. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

Matt, how many are you looking for? I've got a hundred or so once fired hulls that I could send your way. These are Federal Gold Medal paper international trap hulls (12 gauge). They are 2 3/4 inches in length so if he wants a 2 1/2 shell he'll have to cut them down to size.

If this quantity is of any use to you, drop me a P.M. with an address to send them to. He can have them, I'm not looking to sell them. Spent primers included at no extra charge. ;) I shoot the occasional ruffed grouse with black powder and encourage the use of good old SxS's.

Matt if you need some more I will send you some too. I reload them but I have started to once again use the Winchester AA hull as it works well in my loader. Send me a PM with address.
