Caribou In the Backyard Again!

Looked out the bedroom window this morning around 8AM and saw this nice little caribou hanging out in the backyard. The dogs finally caught on about ten minutes later, while I was rummaging around, looking for the darn digicam...

Couldn't get any close-up shots of him while he was in my yard, but got these taken while he strayed onto my neighbours property. Caribou aren't too bad, but those damn moose will eat a flower bed in a couple of minutes!

It was tempting! I could've "herded" him right into the shed, ready for processing into steaks! Now that's whay I call "take-out!" He hung around for the better part of an hour, until he figured he should maybe think about heading back home.

Saw him again today on the barrens behind my property. As long as he stays on my land he's okay, just don't want some idiot kids to chase him on ATVs or something.
