I'd like to plan a trip for this fall, for Caribou and maybe some fishing. I'm leaning towards Quebec, but might try Labrador. Can anyone recommend a hunt that won't cost an arm and a leg? Just wondering.

"...an arm and a leg?..." What do you consider 'an arm and a leg'? A short 'net search shows that you're looking at about $3500US and up plus the licence and getting there.

For the extra $1500 you don't have to worry about packing in food at extra cost, cook meals after a full day hunting and not to mention a guide who knows where and how to take your animal out for you. I'm going this Aug and think the extra cash for such a trip will be worth it.

I dont really think there is such a caribou hunt that DOESNT cost an arm and a leg. I did one a couple of years ago and it cost about $2000. For outfitter (basic), food gas etc. I believe some of the outfitters are only 3 days of hunting. To me if you are only there for 3 days you do not need five star accomodations. We had our 8 caribou in the first 3 hours that we were hunting. So home we came. Good times!!
