At what distance is most likely accurate? grain?

6.5x55 Swedish Mauser. They have an excellent reputation as accurate and reliable. Lots of different new production ammo on the market, it is a popular hunting round.
Like every other surplus rifle out there it's all about CONDITION.
As long as the bedding is snug and the bore is VG to Exc, it stands a very good chance of being accurate with ammunition it likes.
You don't mention whether or not the rifle has been "sporterized by bubba" or a good gunsmith or if it's still wearing complete, original furniture.
In any case, that rifle left the factory as an accurate rifle, likely was rebarreled several times. You don't state the barrel length, so we can't tell you the model you have.

Thank you for the information. I'm new to this CGN - trying to attach the picture. Anyway,not sporterized, Barrel Lenght 29", S/N HK445998. the last 3 digit 998 are match to bolt, hand guard band, stock, buttplate except one - Bayonet stud which is 387. it seems the wood is very old in very good condition - is this Walnut? Every part has a crown on it. I tried 6.55 without the bullet seems fit but still in doubt. Rifling and Bolt assy are in good condition. Thank you in advance for the technical info.
