What Ganderite says.

Many of those rifles are in "awesome" shape. They were CHEAP when they first came into Canada. I paid $250 a dozen for them shortly after they first started coming in. There was very little ammo available for them and Dominion had quit producing it. Most of the early rifles were fresh FTRs, with excellent bores. They came on pallets of 315 rifles per pallet.

One thing, make sure the "bore" is awesome as well. It isn't unusual to find these with excellent exteriors but pitted or washed out bores. The later batches weren't FTRed and many were used as a basis for fine sporting rifles.

the person lives out of province he says the gun is very accurate i tend to give people the benefit of the dought

worst case i can always rebarrel but i think it will be ok
he sending cod so i can check it with my bore scope and always return lol cheers if i knew how to post a pic i would

I bet he isn’t kidding that it’s accurate. Mine can be if I do my part. It was a little hard to find factory loaded ammo, or so it seems where I live. This caliber is one of the main reasons for me learning to reload. I plan on using it for my moose gun in the future.
