CAS coach gun choke question?

I have a couple old doubles that I am considering cutting down to plink and maybe dabble in CAS.

Will cylinder bore work with the targets that are typical at CAS?

Do I need a mod or full choke for practical accuracy?

Cylinder bore will work fine.

At typical CAS distances, cylinder will be sufficient.

Most CAS shotgun targets in Western Canada are knock downs from 6" (b zones) to regular pepper poppers with all sorts of sizes in between. Typical distances are from 7-15 yards. A cyl bore shotgun works fine.

71/2 or 8 is all I use. Around $50 for a case.

I use 71/2 or 8 in the Winchester Low Noise Low Recoil (used to be featherlite). Any time I do my job the targets go down.

I assume you shoot birdshot?

Yep. And be sure it is LEAD. If you should accidentally get steel hunting shot it'll bounce back badly off the steel targets and pepper everyone at the firing line.
