.....the "novel" is no longer out there in plain sight. It is now underneath the barrel in quite small letters......
Now that is a fine and sensible upgrade on Ruger's part.
By the way, don't get me wrong. The Ruger Vaqueros that I've seen and handled were superby made and felt wonderful. As I said though I just wanted something that was a little more historically correct.
Also since my favourites are my black powder Uberti Remingtons these were intended to be my alternate and foul weather shooting pair for times where I'd be too busy or it was too windy and wet to want to fuss about with all the black powder issues. Because of that I was happier to pay for the one used Pietta and the one new one and keep the total cost down a little.
