CAS Ruger vs Uberti Revolvers

.....the "novel" is no longer out there in plain sight. It is now underneath the barrel in quite small letters......

Now that is a fine and sensible upgrade on Ruger's part.

By the way, don't get me wrong. The Ruger Vaqueros that I've seen and handled were superby made and felt wonderful. As I said though I just wanted something that was a little more historically correct.

Also since my favourites are my black powder Uberti Remingtons these were intended to be my alternate and foul weather shooting pair for times where I'd be too busy or it was too windy and wet to want to fuss about with all the black powder issues. Because of that I was happier to pay for the one used Pietta and the one new one and keep the total cost down a little.

Another old Ruger Vaquero fan here.
I've had two RV's since 2003. One was used, the other new.
I use them for CAS during the summer and indoors during the winter to keep my eye in.
Haven't had a function problem with either, although the new one, right out of the box, left a great deal to be desired for POA vs POI.
How it ever left the factory in the condition it was, I do not know.
The front sight had to be taken down by about half it's height and the barrel turned quite a bit to adjust POA to POI to keep bullets on a standard 20 yard target at 10 yards.
Once I had that done, however, it has shot well.
