So I'm close to being done my case annealer, and have a few questions.

1) do I want 650, 750 or 800 degree tempilaq for the necks
2)do I need a lower temp tempilaq for the body to make sure it's not getting too hot? If so, what temperature?
3)anybody have a good Canadian source for tempilaq?

Thanks

1) I use 650, can can feel the difference between annealed and un-annealed brass when sizing and seating, so I know it's working.
2) I used 400 for the body, never gotten close to melting it on the case head.
3) I use Omegalaq, ordered online.

Here in town they have a different brand available in 500, 700, and 850.
I also discover acklands carries the actual "tempilstik"

I will probably buy the local 700, now do you guys think I need to buy a low temp for the bodies or is it a waste of time?

Source welding supply , usually has all required temperature ranges in tempilaq for annealing .
A bottle of tempilac thinner is also a good item to pick up when ordering.
Source WS , ship very fast.

650F indicator on the case body just below the shoulder junction. I feel 700F is too hot for that location.

I prefer not to put anything inside the neck cause tempilac tends to leave a crappy residue and I don't want to have to fight that in my necks.

good luck

Jerry
