Case cleaning

Really? Wow, I wasn't aware that was the case. Can you please provide links to all these lead free pistol primers available for purchase in Canada from "most if not all" of the primer manufacturers? I should start loading them exclusively since they're so readily available now.

This ain't 1950 anymore, Google is your friend. But for the record, I never stated the "most if not all" manufacturers make their lead free primer counterpart available RETAIL.

Why do you keep talking about 1950? Weird. Also, this discussion is in the reloading forum, is it not?

It's actually quite simple, it's 2023 and either you're full of $hit or all that crib paint had a greater effect than first realized.

Nice, why do you have to keep editing your posts? Man up and stick to your original....

Because my edited version was much better, wouldn't you agree? You can see that I didn't leave anything out, I only added to its greatness! Also, it was much more gentlemanly of me to provide you with at least two options.

Coca Cola! But don't use the diet stuff - no joke...

For about 100 cases I use one 2 litres bottle. Put the cases in a glass bowl (I don't use plastic or metal because there is some "process reaction" going on...)

Pour the Coke in the bowl and stir once in a while for about 20-30 minutes. Discard the liquid, and wash/rinse thorougly with hot water and dish detergent - don't forget the inside of the case.

I then put them in a tray on top of the wood stove for drying.

It might be cheaper just to buy a jug of 85% phosphoric acid. 1 teaspoon per gallon of water should do the trick.

Thanks everyone. I didn’t realize this was such a hot topic lol. I should clarify that I load rifle and pistol. Mostly what I’m looking for is clean and loadable not super worried about shiny brass although I get the appeal. Sounds like there is a variety of options
