I was looking at the all weather because I need another rifle then I saw the case colored on their site. I ordered the catalog to. Now to decide between 30/30 and 45/70

But why that fugly stupid recoil pad on a traditional octagon barreled gun with Marbles open sights?

A flat shotgun type Marlin 336 / 1894 Winchester carbine black butt-plate would look a hell of a lot better and be more traditional.

Let those timid souls terrified of even mild recoil have recoil pads fitted at their option.
