Is a norinco 1911a1 frame able to be case colored? I know it would cost more than the actual gun. Has anyone done it
The Norinco frame is easy to colour case harden. Of all the 1911 clones on the market, it has the best steel.
I did every make available and never had a problem with warping.

I think the amount you shoot the gun is important. If you shoot the gun a lot, particularly IPSC style shooting, I think the colour would wear away with time. If it is only a gun you shoot occasionally the colours would last a long time
