I have a pelican 1770 case I believe this is the longest case they make? Best case I own by far.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has found anything that's longer? It would also be nice to have something that's about half as thick and half the price. Any suggestions?

If you take the stock off it becomes a lot shorter..then just re-torque and test fire when you get where your going. I use a storm case but they are not long enough either..

Who makes a good soft case that will fit a rifle with a 32" barrel including the muzzle brake and also that won't ever scratch the rifle?

I have a sturdy soft case which was probably designed for a scoped shotgun. Long enough for a long barrelled rifle, with a scope.

Too bad Nanuk don't make rifle hard cases yet. It's a Canadian manufacturer. Better than Pelican I find. They do custom tho, but must be expensive.

Check with Rick at ATRS in Calgary he handles some very sturdy drag bags I have lots of room left in mine I am running a 29" barrel with 3" of muzzle brake and nightforce scope works great my shooting partner is running a similar one for 4yrs with no issues at all I am certain they willhave something that will work for you

The Pelican cases are excellent but really heavy, e.g. the 1750 which is 53" L x 17 1/2" W x 6 1/16" D is 25.57 lbs before you put anything in it.

The Strong 52" double rifle weather strong case looks interesting but I don't see the weight indicated, I've sent them a question about this.
