The Hodgdon reloading data for 22-250 shows the case trim length to be 1.902 in. I have a few that are slightly shorter than that, the shortest being 1.898". Will there be any issues using the slightly shorter cases? I'm not doing competition shooting but want to have reasonably accurate, safe ammo.

"SAAMI specifies 1.912, +0, -0.020 like SS indicates. So the book says 1.892 to 1.912 is good but most like to stay at the long end of that. The last batch of Winchester bulk brass I bought was 1.902 or 10 thousandths under maximum specification. This is the standard amount to be shorter than SAAMI to allow for stretch."
Borrowed from another site.
You should be good.

You are concerned that .004" in case length is an issue? Why?

Open your calipers to 0.004".
Now hold them up to the light.

Your worrying about half the thickness of a sheet of paper!

Digital calipers are cool, but just buy a set of vernier calipers, for case length.
