Case length question

I started to reload 308 ammo and messured all my brass and some are over the limit so my question is do I resize the brass before triming and messureing it or can I do it before resizing the brass?

I know some cases once fired are greater then 2.015 so I sorted through all my brass and put them together length wise Its 308. I want to shoot it out of my 2 guns so they share ammo.

yes resize befor trimming, inthe resizing process brass can stetch out even more, so if u trim then resize u can be right back to having brass thats to long

if you plan to shoot the same brass out of 2 different guns make sure your useing full lenght resizing dies

I have several rifles in the same chamberings. What I try to do is separate brass by brand and only use that brand for one of the rifles, another brand for another rifle, etc.,
That way I can neck size and save some brass life.
