Case Lube

Well the Pledge works. I ran a few 30-30 cases through the size die with out a problem. Then I ran a few 30-06 cases through an 8mm Mauser sizer die to try the lube out on a harder sizing, case forming job. It worked well. And I was using the No-Name stuff the wife had. Just imagine if I was using the real expensive brand name stuff..........

Thanks guys,,picked up some RCBS case lube 2 at my local store....The only powder they had left was Hodgson BL-C(2) so I picked some up with a box of nornady .55 gr SP .223..

ANY good recipies for this bullet/podwer combo.

Pledge Furniture Polish? Are you using it just like you would a spray on lube such as Hornady One Shot, or RCBS case lube? Do you have to clean it off with a rag? or does it just stay on? I'm interested in this, as it would be easier to find and cheaper. I look forward to hearing more about this, thanks, Eric

Hi Eric, I use it just like Lyman spray or RCBS case lube, always padding off the excess with a shop rag before sizing. I have also found the original source of reference. It is at HuntOhio.net under "Tips & Tricks", then "Cheap Case Lube". Direct link is http://www.huntohio.net/index.php?t=msg&th=3015&start=0

Hope this link will help.

I use Hornady One-Shot....

A can lasts me close to 5 years, depending on how much I reload..

Since the first few rounds I reloaded with it were so nice, I took the old lube pad and lube and fired it in the trash..

Got my buddy to pick me up 2 cans when he went to Spokane last fall..

And he doesn't get dust on the cases either.

As a matter of fact, the brass appears shinier with Pledge. Some mineral-based lubes stain the brass.

I've been using the same tube of Lee that came with my press. Keep adding water when it gets down to half, seems to stretch it out.
