hey fellas, its been a while since i reloaded and am forgetting whether i need to lube the case both to size and seat or just to resize?? also looking for a good alternative to case lube, thinking a lanolin alcohol mix??
thanks, Chad

Lube to resize only.

Dillon Case Lube (DCL) is an excellent product. I'm pretty sure it's exactly what you're looking for.

Imperial sizing die wax has worked great for me a little goes a long way.

I have tried a lot of different types, including the lanolin and waxes bit. For maximum lube of the case I think a very small amount of STP, the stuff meant to be added to automotive oil, is the best you can get.

To make your own Dillon case lube, dissolve 100 ml of liquid lanolin in 500 ml of 90% isopropyl alcohol ( rubbing alcohol ) and use in a spray bottle. Makes 600 ml of lube and is much cheaper. Exactly the same as the Dillon product. Health stores usually stock the lanolin and any pharmacy has the rubbing alcohol.

For a 'home brew' resizing lube try a 50/50 mix of anhydrous lanolin and castor oil. For a factory product I like the Lee resizing lube.
