Right you are. If found a fairly close second, Unique Case Lube by Hornady but by far the best I've used over the years is Imperial. I learned something today from your post.:redface::redface:. Until I scraped off the price sticker off of my newest tin and checked out the fine print, I never realised it was made by Redding:redface:.
 
I have used the imperial lube for YEARS! Great stuff! Wipes off easily.

All I do is brush the inside of the case necks with a nylon neck brush,
Wipe the carbon off the neck, and neck size with my Redding dies. I use a floating Carbide expander button. No lube required at all. "Very" little Drag on the upstoke of my press. (neck sizing only).

The concentrinity runout of my case necks runs/averages .003" or less.
This has gotten me MOA and "sometimes" sub-MOA all the way out to 1760yards.
Good enough for me at least.

i tried that method last night, lubed the inside of the die, seemed to work pretty good. may do it this way from now on seems to save some time
 
I am a sizing "Wax" user as well, and it has been my go-to lube for about 25 years.
Nothing quite like it.
Redding took over the manufacture of it some years ago.
BTW, do NOT put lube on the shoulder of your cases.
I lube inside/outside case necks with graphite.
I put 2-3 tablespoons of #8 shot in an old plastic pill bottle, add a teaspoon of graphite, shake it around and just dip the neck into the shot with a slight "twirl"
Gets just the right amount of graphite on the inside of the neck, and lasts a long time before needing replenishing.

Imperial, by far. I used to use the RCBS lube and pads - tossed them after a week with Imperial. A tin of it lasts forever, it does a super job and the lube action lasts for a while, so you can lube a bunch of cases one day and run them through the press the next.

As to inside-the-neck lubrication, I had brushes, probably still do somewhere. Then I saw a suggestion here that proved brilliant. It's a small bottle (think 35mm film canister or pill bottle with a tight lid) half-full of small shot. Give a good squeeze of powdered graphite into the bottle, replace the lid and the shake the bottle. Just push the cartridge neck-first into the shot up to the shoulder - done. Shake the bottle every so often to keep the graphite spread around.

I'll definately have to try that out. Sounds better than any methods of neck lube I've used:).

I think eagle eye and I were talking about that a while ago in another post, not sure.

I filled my container with #9 shot. Real fine!

And with one pass of a brush, its gone.
 
Prior to my retirement I was looking after a couple of maintenance crews and I remember ordering a few of tins of powdered graphite for one of the shops. I can't recall where I ordered it from but I'd guess it was an industrial supply outfit. Just returned from a quick trip to town where I checked at a hardware store and auto supply store. All they had along that line was the small tubes if it so I may end up picking a few of them up.

Another 'possibility' just came to mind. I wonder how another fine powder like talcum powder or baby powder would work? They had a part of the process where talcum powder was used in the bleach plant at the mill and I remember it as feeling very slippery. Anyone try it or know??

I just tried this and it seems to work OK. I cleaned the inside of the neck with a brush on my RCBS station and then neck sized the cases and the up stroke wasn't too bad. I bought my graphite at a lock smith shop as they sell tubes of it for lubing tumblers.
 
I love the Hornady One-Shot case lube. Sure it's only good for like 3 hours after you spray it on, but seriously, who's prepping cases the day before by lubing them? I basically grab enough cases to last me one or two primer tubes worth of primers, spray them and start making ammo. Then when the primer tubes are empty, I toss some more cases in a box, spray them and let them sit while I reload the primers into tubes again. No time wasted.

That said, I'm running low on One-Shot and have a pile of lanolin at my disposal. I'll have to try out this lanolin and alcohol mixture.
