how important is it to have a neck concentricity gauge? Should you have to check AFTER you outside neck turn?
If your chamber was reamed properly your neck runout should be next to nil and should not be an issue. If your sizing die is introducing runout the gauge will tell you this.
What you may want to check is concentricity of the loaded rounds.
If you are shooting match then .003 or less is preferred. (I personally prefer .0025 or less.)
Can the hornady lnl concentricity gauge be used for checking case necks?
