case neck concentricity

If your chamber was reamed properly your neck runout should be next to nil and should not be an issue. If your sizing die is introducing runout the gauge will tell you this.
What you may want to check is concentricity of the loaded rounds.
If you are shooting match then .003 or less is preferred. (I personally prefer .0025 or less.)

I have a concentricuty gauge for loaded rounds.. just trying to figure out if i need one for case necks.

If you have a concentricity gauge for loaded rounds, you should be able to use it for neck run-out as well. It can be an interesting exercise to check the neck concentricity of a fired case, check it again after resizing, then again with the bullet seated. In this way you pinpoint where the run-out is introduced during the loading procedure, and you can then take steps to correct it.

Only loaded rounds... And you are at the mercy of the roundness of the rim...
If your looking at neck wall thickness and wanting to measure it a caliper will get you close, kinda moot point tho because if you use a bushing die to neck size and your throat accepts the loaded round after a clean up with a neck turner then is there a point in checking actual wall thickness with a tube mic?...
