case neck has small scar after resizing

Ive reloaded pistol ammo for years, just trying rifle for first time. Have a lot of saved 303Brit rounds (all from my gun) to play with. Have dies set up according to die instructions and the full length sizer die is putting a small vertical line in one spot on the case shoulder. It can be felt but hard to see. As much of an abrasion as anything. Ive disassembled the die and looked inside and cant see any scaring or marks to cause the issue. Should I worry or skip it and just neck size it.
 
It could be a small piece of grit of some sort imbeded in your die. Take a q-tiip and rub it around inside your die. If there is something rough in your die you will feel it catch on it and likely leave a bit of cotton on it. If it is not too deep in the case you should be good to go.
 
Did brake cleaner cleanse when I first took it apart. Since tried a qtip and can't snag anything. When looking from the top of the die after removing the decapping pin it appears that there is a ring in there but don't know if that's a machine mark or an old case neck

If there was a broken off case neck stuck in your die (if that's what you mean) the damage to your resized cases would be significant; I believe you are seeing the machining marks in your die. A mark on the case shoulder often means lube is getting to where it shouldn't, but this doesn't seem to be the case here as you describe a small vertical line at the shoulder rather than a dimple or a dent. This certainly suggests a piece of hard debris or perhaps a burr that was not polished out by the manufacturer; it happens. Perhaps you could take the die to a gunsmith to have it cleaned and polished, or attempt to get satisfaction from the warranty route. Over the years, I've been treated well by all of the major players when it comes to warranty issues.
