Case of 1950 Longbranch rifles?

The crates hold 6 rifles.....Anyone looking for one ?
Two will be going on the block shortly in Canada shortly. One with dividers and the other without. One crate still has a Canadian Arsenals label on it as well..........

about 10 or 12 years ago there was a railway warehouse that sold here in Nova Scotia, after they cleared out the past 50 years plus worth of junk they found two unopend crates of longbranch rifles that had been buried and lost under a bunch of other junk during shiping during the war they sold for big$$.

Bedliner... drill and tap... tanker model...?

Keep them in their original condition and make 4 floor standing lamps. Wiring runs right up the barrel.

I like your way of thinking, but I would definitely paint them a stylish colour. I'll ask the hipster for his recommendation.

BTW, 1950 LB's in new or near new condition are fairly common.

The value in that auction lies in the crate and the 4 consecutive number rifles. As soon as you split them up...

"When Distribicorp had a bunch of 1950's new in the crate 20 years ago or so, I wonder if they took them out of crates just such as these?"

Yes they did and that one is probably from Districorps, they had an Office in Swanton, VT at that time period. I think it ran under the name of Swanton Arms or something similar.

You see a lot of Canadian "Mutual Aid" crates at surplus dealers in Europe. Most are for Bren tripods, Bofor parts, vehicle parts etc. Holland and Belgium surplus dealers are full of them.

God they look amazing. I'd love to have one, but I'm sure not at the price they'll be fetching together in that crate.

50's and 60's - teachers. They went to Quebec by the hundreds. A lot of the issues with Quebec nowadays are the result of these jewels of belgian (and french) society.

I'd like to know more about that; if you feel like expanding on it?
