HELP Noob to reloading, first 100 rnds went great. Started my second batch tonight and my first case brass got stuck in the full length sizer and deprimer. Im loading 30-06 with a LEE single stage. Any ideas on how to get it out. Its in there good... Thanks as always!

Loosen the decapping pin then drill and tap the base of the case with a 1/4" tap. Find a socket that is bigger then the case and smaller then the die base. Put a washer on a 1/4" bolt and screw it into the case and it will pop out. Some say you can loosen the decapping pin on a Lee die and just tap it out but I prefer my method.

Several die makers sell a stuck case removal kits.

I'd try taking the decapping pin out and fit a wood dowel down into the case and give it a few raps with a wooden mallet.

Did you ever try to get the expander out of a FL Resized case while it is still in the die?

Just get the expander as far away from the primer pocket as possible when you drill the primer pocket out and while tapping the threads.

The Stuck Case Removing die is the answer and follow the instructions.

While you're ordering up that stuck case removal tool, add a decapping rod and some pins as well. Good chance you'll bend it ... don't ask me how I know ...

Stuck case...Another reason I neck size when ever possible.
Funny how a stuck case or two will make a hand loader serious about lubrication and not so ram jam on the press lever.
More then a few times have I carefully leaned into the lever only to sense the impending bind...Quickly backing off praying to God not again.
A stuck case and the down time...I hate when that happens!

Buy a stuck case remover or make your own as stated. Best advice I can give is Lee case lube or imperial sizing wax. I have used Lyman spray lube with success in some and stuck in others but Lee case lube has never failed, almost works to good as even overpressured loads size easily making it tough to read pressure by effort on the ram.

Thanks for the advise. I ended up throwing in a vise mod taking a pipe wrench to the top of the brass and twisted it out. This after giving it a few good blows from the top. Mission accomplished, lesson learned. Lots a lube and if it doesn't feel good. ... Back off. Happy Reloading!
