Case Trim Length Question

Hi Guys, I am new to reloading so be kind. I am loading 30-30 Win, with LeverRevolution Bullets. The published case length for the cases is 2.029" and the Max Case Length is 2.039". Questions #1 - does this mean if the case length is below 2.029" it is to short to use? Question#2 Can my cases lengths are different but fall between the Trim Size and the Max Cas length can they all be loaded? Question # 3 Should I trim all my cases to theTrim case length 2.029"? Not sure of the tolerance and how much is to much and if they are small, how far can I go until the cases are not useable? Sorry for all the question, but Thanks for your time......

Trim em all if there's substantial variance.

If you're using them in a lever, you need to crimp and crimping with different case lengths will mean some get no crimp, some crimp too high, or some cases will buckle (unless you use the LEE FCD). Trim them now to avoid headaches later.

Too short is better than too long. I usually trim to the minimum and only trim if max is exceeded. If you are crimpng with your seating die, they should be all the same length to prevent messing up the shoulders if you try and crimp out of the crimp groove in the bullet because the case is too long. The Lee factory crimp die helps in preventing this problem.

Thanks for the information, I do have the Lee Crimp die and was planning on crimping to to complete with this. For example the tim length is as stated above 2.029", but I have about a dozen or so that are 2.027" will they still crimp fine?

i trim mine in my rifle .030 shorter then max length and it works better in my rifle for accuracy, neck length is just a matter of tension to hold pressure for complete powder burn and when the bullet starts moving into the lands on different pressure amounts
