Case trimmer options?

Yep, I have a cordless drill. It does speed it up, I could just be gripping the drill too tight causing my hand to fatigue.

electric drill or cordless speeds up the Lee system: I still use some of them but I recently bought a Hornady Lock 'n Load, which comes with the pilots you need.

How about using one of these to convert your hand-drill into a drill press? These seem to be about $50 +/-.

I don't have a drill press.. Yet. Not sure I have room for one in my shop but eventually I'll get my hands on one. As for trimmers I'm leaning toward the Forster unit, as I've heard nothing but good things about them. Although the Lyman and Hornady seem just as good and a little more readily available. Has anyone had any performance related issues with any of the three? I see I can get the Lyman universal unit with the carbide cutter and nine pilots for $142 plus tax, free shipping on Amazon.

I have a Lyman, a Forster and an RCBS trimmer and still primarily used the Lee system for bulk reloads. For the $142 of a Lyman trimmer, I really think that the Franklin Armory Case Prep Center is a better deal (hxxps://www.amazon.ca/Frankford-903156-Arsenal-Platinum-Series/dp/B00HS7JEB4) for $230. I find the lathe-type systems are slow - mounting the brass, aligning it with the pilot/cutter, etc. and unless you spend more it is still unpowered. Then you need to manually chamfer, debur and clean the primer pockets. The Franklin system impressed me because its powered and does all of these steps. Trimming is by using a system like the Little Crow WFT.
