Rifle and handgun. Bottleneck and straightwalled rifle. Used to own a Wilson and Lyman. The Wilson was ok, but they don't seem to make a case holder for .444 Marlin. Was thinking of the Redding or Hornady cam lock.
The Redding does look nice... I've used Lyman to good effect, and it also has a 'universal' collet so you don't spend money or time swapping out. I'm sure the Redding is more precise, but the cost is up there.
Wilson is by far the most precise, and reasonably quick - if you liked it before, they will make custom holders - if the 444 is straightwalled, it would be a "q-type" that uses the rim. http:// www.lewilson.com/
I will be taking my Forster Precision Case Trimmer to the Gun Show in Duncan on the 21st. I've recently replaced it with a Lyman Universal Case Trimmer after I got my .500 S&W as the Forester wouldn't handle that size of case. In addition, I've been gradually upgrading a lot of my reloading equipment. Nothing but good things to say about my new Lyman.
I currently own an RCBS trimmer and have 2 Forster units set up. One for trimming and one for outside neck turning. I have just done a test on a Redding unit as compared to the ones I own. I still think the best of the bunch is the Forster rig. It is more accuate than I ever need and is SIMPLE to use. I use the RCBS unit for the over-length cases.
Carry on!
