Cases of 308, 147gr FMJ, might be able to get some in.

No answer - so

Beware of steel bullets washed with metal colour --- accelerated bore wear -

I remember when SA ammo was $645.00 at Wolverine for a case of 1260 rounds. About 57c per round.

Bought 2 cases. Thought at the time dropping $1445.00 was an act of insanity. Considering this ammo goes for $1.00 a round now, I don't regret it.

Last spring DelSellins had cases of South African for $695, with taxes (35) and shipping (128) it came to $858.

Wasnt long ago Portugeeze FNM was $300 per 1000.....yes....I have a box or 2 around here somewhere

From what I am learning on reloading, and knowing the SA stuff is Berdan primed, here is a little tidbit I found while stroking Google:

Pics and everything.

I feel sad I have tossed away all my SA ammo I have shot so far.

Love buy some to feed my poly m305. price is too high when federal is 1 buck a round and i can buy it in 20's to commit for 1000 . 75 cents or lower seems about right

The price of .308 is high everywhere, so relative to that this price isn't terrible. If you could compare it to frontier's price that would be even better. Once it shows up I am certain that people will be interested, but offering a half case option would probably help you sell it faster.

Wolverine for example did offer both cases (1260 round or 9 battle packs) and battle packs (140 rounds) so I think simplifying the process of doing the same will net a sell out of your ammo purchase.

The 49.9c S+B stuff Samco sells I got 1500 rounds of about a year ago from a buddy. It is EXTREMELY corrosive and requires an SKS-type cleaning of your M14 after you shoot it. Other considerations for this ammo is about 30% of the cases are corroded on the outside (cosmetic) and 5-10% of them will be FTF's. So far out of 100 rounds I have had 6 FTF's. (which is fine you pull the powder and the bullets and reload them into other brass) None of this Samco mentions however I have seen this ammo on other sites for sale and they do disclose this information.

Wolverine's price of 57c per shot was the best I have seen up until the last gun show we did and I bought DA 7.62X51 in an ammo crate for 25c a round. I got 400 rounds for $100.00. BARGAIN!

If you put into consideration the cost of the brass (EE price usually is 22c a piece for once fired) if this ammo came in at 75c a piece it would be a fair market value and I'd buy at least a case just for the fact I'd have over 1000 pieces of ammo I can reload rather than tossing in the trash.

I second the "buy more.get it cheaper" philosophy. I would be interested if it was less than $750 all in, and available for pickup around Metro Vancouver. If not, then Ill take my chances waiting for something better and spend my money in the meantime on .223 and 7.62x39 now that prices on that stuff are dropping.
