casing stuck in my sks barrel :(

Dunno what else to do, got a small piece of casing stuck up their. its being spectacularly stubborn. took a picture as best i could, but its hard to get up in their, lol. (no Butt hole jokes plz, lol) its about 1.5 inch into barrel. And pushing up against the rifling. Took it to Gunsmith but id like to not pay so much since it was a 75$ marstar deal. Kinda defeats the purpose if it ends up costing me 2x the price of the gun lol. thx all

Edit: cleaning rod and bronze brush pass right through and don't budge the casing. I've tried small pliers, small picks.. just waterer i have handy around the garage.
 
Do an internet search on "home made broken shell extractor", or "DIY broken shell extractor" or some other variation of that.

I made one out of 1 foot long piece of round steel stock and a hand file and it goes with me to the range every time. Used it 3 times and so far it's 100%. Cost me less than a dollar.
 
I had a spectacular separated casing in a machine gun once. Remembering that lesson I've collected a selection of separated case extractors that stay in the shooting tools box. But for some reason I've never had to use them ....
 
If you have a sturdy steel cleaning rod, try catching the lip of the casing from the bore side with no attachments and use a hammer.

Or get a lead ball (fishing weights work well)that barely fits the bore, and dowel peices and hammer her through with a mallot from the bore end (called slugging a rifle). Its a great method to measure the rifles bore, but should work to remove that pesky casing.

Ive tried this, round won't enter the chamber. does nothing.

sweet thx guys, i was pulling my hair out, lol. not much experience with guns yet so this helps big time.
 
Pour a chamber cast into the case, knock it out as you normally would a cast.

When finished, do a super good clean in the chamber and remove all the gunk and rust and crud.

the casing is of smaller diameter than the rifling, so nothing "catches" it. I've tried with cleaning rod through muzzle end. it won't touch it

maybe, their is nothing to stop the liquid from just dripping through the casing and down the barrel tho,

edit: took me a while to even figure out their was a casing in their, its small and hard to see, plus when looking down muzzle you can't even tell its their. its real small and ring shaped.
 
First, get some Freon in a tank with a hose.

Then, get a small torch. Keep both handy.

First, take the freon and freeze the barrel. Then, take the torch, light it and quickly jam the flame up as close to the casing as possible.

After the whole thing has exploded, the casing will no longer be stuck in the barrel, as the barrel will no longer exist :D

or just fill the chamber ,barrel whit c4 insert a detonator in the chamber ,
go behind the nearest liberal and voila no more stuck case !! and liberal (i hope) a 2 for 1 !!!

well yeah, that would work too, but where's he gonna get C4 AND a liberal in the same place? Freon and MAPP torches are readily available at any HVAC supply :cool:
