I’m looking to experiment with some cast bullets in my .45 Enfield. I was wondering if anyone has loaded the Lee 452-252-SWC or the 452-255-RF in a .45ACP. I’m trying the 452-160-RF as I acquired the mold for cheep like the budgie, I also have a 452-230-TC on the way. I’m also going to work up some .45 Super loads with starline brass. I mean, the gun is plenty strong enough. I’m pretty confident that the 230 will feed fine and I’ve heard that people have loaded the 160s in 1911’s and that they fed fine. I’m more cautious of the Keith style SWC not feeding in the Enfield though.

I tried using the cartridges I load for the Webley in the Enfield. The SWC were indeed hanging up. The hollow base bullet cartridges were too long for the mag the way I was loading them and the hp rn were fine :)

These were jethunter's 255 gr keith swc, 265 gr "455 Webley type" hollow base and 250 gr hp respectively.
