Cast Bullet Load For A .300 Wby Mag.

My go-to powders for cast bullets in rifle cartridges if I am looking for some semblance of accuracy and not just 50yd plinking rounds are SR-4759 (discontinued later this year) or H4198 (IMR4198 should also work but I use mostly H powders).
Pistol/shotgun powders are really universal for light loads but don't often give the best accuracy.
I find trailboss really easy to work with and super accurate to scoop without having to measure but I can't get it to shoot really accurately in any cartridge.

With SR-4759 I have my .300 win mag shooting 1.5" @ 100yds with no filler and a .308 bolt rifle shooting a hair under 1" at 100yds also with no filler.
The .300WM is with a 185gr GC'ed tumble lubed and push through sized bullet. The .308 is with a 160gr of the same. Both are with pure WW's.
Been playing around more with H4198 to see if I can eliminate SR-4759 from my lineup of powders instead of stockpiling a lifetimes supply before it goes out of production.

According to the Lyman Cast Bullet handbook the most accurate load they found for .300 Whetherby Magnum is with most bullet weights and designs is either SR-4759 or Reloader 7.

What bullet weight are you using in it?

The cast bullets I have on hand are 173 gr with a gas check. I don't have any 4759 but have lots of 4198 on hand.
A old Hodgdon manual I have lists a load of 25 gr of 4198 for the .308 Norman Mag. That should be OK in the .300 winnie.
I have WW 296 but that's faster than your 4759. I wouldn't know where to start with it.

The Lyman cast bullet manual doesn't list either 4198 for .300 Weatherby. For 170gr bullets it does list IMR4895 though; 32.0 - 50.5gr for a load range.
I'm using H4198 for .303B, .30-30, .45-70, and 8x57.
They don't list either 4198 for my .300 Win either so I'll probably start trying some of the 4895 loads.
